A standard bernedoodle is a cross between a standard poodle and a Bernese mountain dog. They are offered here primarily as F1s, but we can also produce F1bs. Berendoodles have been rapidly gaining popularity for their out of this world adorable appearance complimenting their loyal, childlike personalities. Bernedoodles make high quality family pets, good with children and other dogs. They are highly trainable and very intelligent. Poodles are in the top four breeds when it comes to intelligence. Poodles also have longer lifespans and are a healthy breed and not prone to cancer. Bernese mountain dogs are laid back, affectionate, and overall good natured. Breeding these two magnificent breeds together gives you a puppy that simply needs a light touch for training as they are both intelligent and sensitive. Being positive and patient in training is very important. Once trust and loyalty are established, you will have a life long companion. Bernedoodles create unbreakable bonds with their owners with a strong sense of loyalty. They are easy going, gentle, affectionate and always appear to be smiling, not just in their smile, but also in their eyes. They have classic "big, puppy, dog eyes." Bernedoodles also have that “teddybear look" that is a deeply desired trait that we all adore. Their husky and blocky builds create a real, live, shaggy teddy bear look. Bernedoodles can be hypoallergenic to minimal shedding. They offer uniqueness in coat, with their tricolored, bi-colored, or tri-parti markings. Here at Kimberlee's Kennels we offer F1's which is a 50-50 cross or F1b's which is a 75-25 cross. We recommend an F1b puppy for any family with allergy concerns as they have more poodle. Standards are between 23 and 29 inches and between 70 and 90 pounds. Life expectancy for a standard bernedoodle is 12+ years.
