The Process

Have you decided it is time to add a puppy to your family? We would love to help you choose the right puppy for your home! Decide which puppy list you want to be on by viewing our 4 breed menu options: Goldendoodle, Bernedoodle, Englishdoodle and Poodle pages. Also check out the Available Now page on the chance we have what you are looking for.

1. Ask yourself these questions:

A. What size do I want? Standard, Miniature or Petite? For help deciding on size consider your lifestyle and living environment. The more athletic your family is, the more likely you will want a larger dog as they love exercise and play. If you are in an apartment or have a small yard, you might consider a miniature or petite. For more help knowing the weight classes by pound see the drop down link under the FAQ tab.

B. What coat type and genetic make-up do I want? F1 or F1b? For help deciding on this see drop down links under the FAQ tab. Do you want 50% golden retriever or Bernese mountain dog temperament, then consider an F1. If you want hypo-allergenic and non-shed, consider the adorable F1b.

C. Which mother should I choose? First, check to see if there is availability. Each list will state what breed and size the pups will be. If there is no availability, you may have the option to be on the standby list, in case a puppy becomes available. You may also decide to consider a different mother's list. Many of our lists sell out before birth. Each mother lets down a certain number of eggs and we try to accept reserves based on the mother's previous record. A mother that consistently has 7 puppies will mostly likely continue to have 7 puppies each time. However, sometimes we are off. We might take 6 reserves, to be conservative and the mother has 13 puppies. We will then have extra puppies available. The opposite can happen as well, there is always a chance the mother may not get pregnant simply due to mother nature. We may expect 7 and only 5 are born. Ultimately, Mother Nature decides. Our predictions are pretty accurate and we always try to be conservative in our estimates so not to disappoint customers should a mother have a fewer number of puppies than in the past. I am normally quite accurate in my estimations, however, should I be incorrect, it typically means more puppies were born than anticipated. You may select your mother by her appearance or color and who the sire will be. Make sure to understand what the puppies from her will be. We are here to help you decide which list and help guide you so you know and understand what you want. Please don't hesitate to call,

2. Once you have chosen your list, simply reach out to me and I will take down all your contact information and start your customer file and ask for the $300 reserve. This is also a great time to join me on Facebook for important announcements as it pertains to the due date, birth, and upcoming selection day.

3. Now you wait until the litter is born. By 3-7 days of age, we will do introductory photos. The next photoshoot takes place after the puppies' eyes have opened (approximately 2 weeks of age) We then try to feature the litter with photos every 7 to 10 days, time allowing. We keep very careful track of which litters are due for photos. Sit back, relax and enjoy the photos as they come. We always do a nice big photo and video shoot right before selection day. The videos feature on individual clip of each puppy with commentary on their coat color, coat texture, bodily structure, and temperament. These photos and videos are there to help our customers narrow down their top choices prior to selection day.

4. Selection Day occurs when pups are between 5 and 6 weeks of age. Selection day schedules can be found under the 'Selection Day Schedules' tab. You are asked to request for either a video or visit for your selection day. A video selection takes place via a video call platform of the customer's choice (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) This is an excellent option for our out-of-state customers with a lengthy drive as you are still able to see the puppies and ask questions in real time. A visit selection includes the customer driving to our facility to physically see and interact with the puppies. Each customer is given 1 hour to select their puppy. As Selection Day proceeds, we will make posts on our Facebook page announcing which puppies have been selected, to give customers toward the bottom of the list an idea of which puppies are still available.

5. After you have made your selection, we will work with you to schedule how you would like to receive your puppy. You can choose between delivery or pick-up once your puppy reaches 8 weeks old. You can find more information regarding our delivery options under the FAQ's tab. The final payment of your puppy is due at pick-up/delivery time. We do offer items in our store that helps the transition of your puppy to your home. We ask that you let us know which items you would like to purchase prior to picking up your puppy to make the appointment run more smoothly.

5. We know that sometimes you change your mind and you would like to get a puppy from a different litter. We do encourage you to stay with your first selection as we do listen to your needs and wants to make sure that you are getting the puppy that fits you best. We work hard to get to know each customer so we can better match you with a puppy that we feel is the one for you and your family. If you truly decide you would like to switch from one litter to another litter after your initial selection, there will be a $500 fee to cover our staff to get a new vet certificate and to re-advertise the puppy you are no longer are interested in.

More information regarding photos:

When customers ask for extra photos, we try to accommodate when we can, but in doing so, it normally adds unnecessary stress to our staff and puppies.

It is not as simple to photograph a single puppy as some may think. By doing one puppy, the other customers may feel neglected, and it begins a fiasco because we do not have time to do all the puppies in the litter that day. This is why we set the photography schedule and stick to it. The schedule helps that every litter is done in a timely manner for every customer. We understand you are paying a lot of money for your puppy but the care of the puppy is more important. By adding in additional photo shoots it causes more stress to the mother, puppies, and the staff. A photoshoot is an all-day event: Baths, blow-dry, 100 photos of each puppy, edit and delete over 500 photos, then upload and add information to the photos. In a litter of 10, it takes all day to get this done. That is just the process for photos, that does not include what is going on behind the scene on a daily basis to care for the puppies and the rest of the pack.

We have a studio in our new facility, and we take extreme pride in the photos that we produce. When we do a photoshoot, you will not be disappointed with the quality of our work. We are aware that customers want as many photos as possible. We typically do about 500 photos of each litter by the time they are 8 weeks old. We work to carefully balance the health and welfare of the litters with the growing anticipation from customers of bringing their puppy home. Please respect our photography protocol and thank you for your understanding. We hope you enjoy your experience with us and we look forward to working with each and every one of you to get your perfect puppy to add to your family!
